Dear Claudia,

I am glad you and your family are doing well. It's now two weeks since you went back to Germany, let me start by appreciating your support to some of the projects you visited during your stay.

I was happy to have you and your friends around, I hope you enjoyed your stay.

I write a simple brief report about the projects and activities you supported here while you were staying in Mathare Valley Slum this year.

PAGE VISION CARE CENTER:

Page Vision Care Center an informal school is located in Mathare Valley Slum, the school started its operation in the year 2015, currently it has a population of 275 primary students i.e the younger student are 4 years old and the eldest are 14 years old.

Page Vision Care Center is known for sport activities and good performance during national exams. Our dear Claudia visited the school 2 years ago. She supported the school with school desks, tables chairs for staff room, teaching materials and food stuffs for feeding the children in school.

This year August 2023 our dear Claudia together with her friend Olivia bought each of 275 students two books and teaching materials. The students were very excited and happy and acknowledged the presence of Claudia in the school. One of the students shared a testimonial "Every time our friend Claudia comes to the school we feel encouraged to continue with our studies since she plays the parental role in each student at the school" said Mary one of the students at Page Vision Care Center.

AFYA MTAANI HEALTH CENTER:

Afya Mtaani is a clinic based in Huruma corner that offers medical services to vulnerable people living within Mathare slums and Huruma at a subsidies fee. Majority of the people living in these areas are not able to afford medical services in major government hospitals which are far away. This is where Afya Mtaani bridge the gap. Afya Mtaani was started by a group of medical students in 2021 to offer and practice their medical professions. 

Our dear Claudia came to Afya Mtaani two years ago and she supported AFYA MTAANI with a modern admission hospital bed. Since then Afya Mtaani has been attending to patients on a daily basis. This year Claudia bought two modern hospital beds and renovated one of the rooms to be used for children outpatient. Currently our dear Claudia paid 3 months rent for the room for physiotherapy sessions of the St. Mauraus special school students, for there therapy a project Claudia has been supporting at St Mauraus.

At Afya Mtaani we appreciate the support from Claudia. She gave Afya Mtaani a laptop for patients records keeping and she gave her clothes to the vulnerable families in Mathare and Huruma.

MAMA AFRICA FOOTBALL TEAM:

Mama Africa is a rescue center for youths and children from Mathare and its outcasts. Joseph founded Mama Africa 20 years ago with a motive of showcasting talent shows and self-help support Sacco for women, youths and children.

Claudia a member of Mama Africa has supported the youths, women and children at mama Africa, every year she visits she gives football tricots, food stuffs and renovating their rooms. This year Claudia bought football tricots and paid for football Kenya federation of Mama Africa team to participate in the upcoming tournaments.

I appreciate your support dear Claudia and for believing in my work. Every day is a learning Day. I hope this report appears on your website.
